Established in 1921, the Body of Expert and Licensed Accountants of Romania (CECCAR) represents the accountancy profession in Romania.


CECCAR is committed to supporting and promoting the competences, skills, and values of individuals involved in the profession in order to ensure high-quality practices and services that meet market needs, the business environment, and serve the public interest.

CECCAR is non-profit and of public interest, being represented in all 42 counties of our country by means of territorial branches.

Acknowledged globally, CECCAR is a member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC), Accountancy Europe (AE), European Tax Adviser Federation (ETAF), Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB), European Expert & Expertise Institute (EEEI), Comité de Integración Latino Europa-América (CILEA), European Corporate Governance Institute (ECGI) and the International Association for Accounting Education and Research (IAAER).
